I have enjoyed a 12-year career in the Jewellery trade. I began my traineeship with my uncle, Andrew Doedens, who has over 20 years experience in hand crafting jewellery. Andrew is known as an “Old School” jeweller, there is no casting equipment in his workshop, and all pieces are meticulously fashioned by hand. I spent 2 years developing the more traditional skills and techniques of jewellery design and crafting, before moving on to the city's jewellery manufacturing scene.
