John McMahon Jeweller - Brisbane based jewellery designer and craftsman, with over 12 years experience in the trade. I specialize in combining traditional jewellery crafting with contemporary design and techniques. How traditional or contemporary you would like your creation to be is up to you. I handcraft a wide range of jewellery pieces including earrings, pendants, and casual, engagement and wedding rings. I can also repair or rebuild existing pieces to your requirements. I have extensive contacts throughout Brisbane and can source the finest quality stones and metals in the city. Whatever your budget, I can work to it and create the perfect piece to suit your needs. When you come to see me I will be able to explain the different stone gradings, what they will mean to your finished creation and the use of different types of metals to make your creation perfect.

Quality – I am a perfectionist, uncompromising in what I create. I won’t put my name to any piece that either myself or my customers are not 100% satisfied with. I will take you through each step of the design and crafting process. There is no confusion between sales people and jewellers, because you deal directly with the one person through the whole process. I am the designer, craftsman, stone dealer, the point of sale and provide the after sales service. Uniqueness – Unlike a number of retail jewellery outlets, I don’t cast any of my designs, which means that your creation will be unique to you. And because you are dealing directly with the jeweller making your piece, the cost won’t be much different to the lower quality mass-produced equivalent. And you will still be able to put own unique stamp on your piece, incorporating design aspects you prefer to make it uniquely yours. Price – I encourage my customers to shop around when looking for a new piece of jewellery. Because I don’t have the overheads that many city based jewellers and retail outlets incur, I am able to compete easily with other jeweller’s quotes. Often with much bigger and better quality stones, plus the quality of hand made craftsmanship.
